An Open Letter of Gratitude to the HUB 127 Cowork & Meeting Space

Dear HUB 127,

As I sit down to reflect on this incredible year, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude and pride for everything you’ve nurtured over the past 12 months. You are so much more than walls and desks—you are a living, breathing hub of creativity, collaboration, and possibility.

This year, you grew by leaps and bounds. You welcomed nine new members into your fold, each bringing their unique spark to our community. And while we may not all be in the space at the same time, each new member adds to the vibe and knowledge base of this special workspace.

You’ve been a place of care and connection, hosting monthly member appreciation lunches that quickly became a highlight for everyone. These moments reminded us that we’re not just coworkers—we’re a family, here to celebrate and support each other.

You’ve transformed physically too, with new seating in the open work area, standing desks, and even a walking pad. Each upgrade was made with intention, ensuring you remain a place where people thrive in their work and wellness.

This year, you became official—a Certified Mail Receiving Agent (CMRA)—and started offering virtual mail services. You expanded your impact, showing what it means to meet the evolving needs of our members and our broader community.

You opened your doors wider than ever, inviting the community in with monthly free cowork days during Downtown Princeton’s “Meet You at the Mural” events. Although the community is still discovering who you are and what coworking is all about, every time you invite others in, you're declaring our mission to foster a community of collaboration, creativity, flexibility, and productivity for remote and independent workers.

And oh, the conversations and learning you fostered this year! You became a classroom, a meeting ground, and a think tank. From the Launching Your Own Business class with Southwest Indiana Small Business Development Center to the Workplace Retirement Plans lunch and learn with Edward Jones financial advisor Danny Cathro, you gave people the tools they needed to dream big and plan smart.

You helped us dive into the future with Larry Manson’s Drivers Training for Generative AI and showed us how to work smarter with County Quest owner/operator Arnie Howes’ two-part session on Using Microsoft Teams to Transform Your Small Business. You even brought the community together over coffee, hosting a month of the Gibson County Chamber of Commerce Coffee Chat, and gave us monthly Muffins & Marketing wisdom with Dartanyan Abney, owner/operator of Dart Creative Media.

HUB 127, you’ve become a space where people grow, connect, and build—not just businesses, but relationships and dreams. Watching you evolve this year has been a joy.

As your community manager, I feel so lucky to play a small part in all the big things you make happen. Here’s to you and to the incredible people who bring you to life every day. I can’t wait to see where we go together in 2025!

Cheers to 2024,

Susan Carey
